| Line 6 POD HD Problems

Hey guys, I just bought a Line 6 HD POD for recording and as a general amp to be played through my computer. I cant get sound out of my computer speakers.
The set up said to set up my audio device so that Line 6 is set up for both Recording & playback. When I log into my recording software the meter shows that I am playing but there is no sound.
The only way I can hear what I recorded is to change the audio options back to my soundcard.
How Can I hear what I am doing and be able to record?
