A little jam my new band did yesterday...thoughts on the drummer?

Hello,

My new band found a drummer yesterday who I think we are going to hire. He's not quite as technical as previous drummers I've played with, but he has a good sense of groove. Plus he's a hell of a nice guy and seems easy to work with (I guess only time will really tell, of course.) Please let me know what you think. This is just one repetitive chord progression/riff that my singer wrote - not even a song yet, let alone a finished one. My singer evidently gets bored with what she is singing pretty quickly and starts just messing around. But curious what you think - we had fun with it. Keep in mind we literally just met the drummer an hour or two prior, and literally came up with this progression mere minutes before we started playing it..so naturally it's pretty shaky!

yeah, dude i checked it out, i like so far, and keep the drummer, he sounds like a real nice guy, and he sounds like he knows what he's doing on the recording. once you guys get a more set song, your singer will come up with a more straight forward melody. I like funk guitar kind of think going on too.

Your drummer sounds perfect for the situation.

His snare sounds a little weak. Fix that.
