A Little Recording on My New Squier Bass

I just layed this down in about two hours or so.
It's kind of sloppy and I'm no drummer but I had a lot of fun doing it.
It's essentially a sound test for my Squier Vintage Modified Precision V that I just got two days ago.

I have this lame habit of giving my songs name of animals in Japanese.
This one I decided to call 'Haiiro no Inu' or 'Gray Dog' just because I was inspired by my Miniature Schnauzer as I was playing.
She would try to jump up on my lap and I'd say, "Saddie, get down. I'm shredding sweet licks."

Anyways, it's just drums and bass.
Every bass sound you hear is from my Squier.

Worth noting:
The little "solo" in the song is the bass without any effects. Just some added volume.
The other bass sounds are going through a compressor and an EQ. (Or something like that.)
I'm running stock strings and stock everything else.

Thanks for indulging me.
I hope I at least brought a little joy to your ears.

Ryan

I could not find a decent ride sound.
Hi-hat was okay, but no rides, no crash...
The cymbal options are really limited on that program I think.
Also, I'm afraid the drums are a little louder than they should be.
Still learning this stuff.

Hey, pretty neat.
I like how you, essentially, demonstrate "both P bass voices," the adrker one, and the brighter one. Cool.

Thanks everyone!
All the kind words really mean a lot.

I'm looking to do more stuff like this in my free time, any suggestions for improvement?
I uploaded the three songs I've done so far to Soundcloud:

Sounds great. What program are you using? Find a better one haha. With better drum sounds and the like, produce it up really nice with some other instruments programmed in maybe. Mostly just keep writing songs though IMO.
