I know that this isn't the first and probably won't be the last post on Vic but seeing as different people will constantly be discovering the same music I just felt that I had to have my say.

All I can say is WOW!!! The whole band is amazing! I've only seen Mr Wooten in the context of his instructional stuff, which I must confess did put me off him a bit. Seeing him in the context of the band opened my eyes completely. He is funky and supportive and his tone is amazing.

The real rave here is about the whole group though. I haven't been this excited about music in a long time. The combination of instruments and the different influences they bring really make for an interesting musical experience. The quality of songwriting and the obvious light and shade really had me floored.

Anyway, I just had to express myself on that subject.

Both the CD and DVD are excellent. I love all the guest players too. That steel pans cat can jam.

I was blown away by what a dynamic instrument the steel pans can be. I actually want to learn those parts on my bass because his playing is so expressive. I think it's the intro to Earth Jam in particular that I'm referring to.
