Great video, bit of a shame about John's guitar tone (not sounding too great but I suppose thats Gibson for you). Is it just me or does he seem a little spaced at the start?

Are you serious? You must not like Rock if you don't like Gibson tone. Gibson tone is rock.

I think he sounds great... but opinions are like ice cream, they are best served with toppings.
