Does a Reqium Mass count? It's about 61 minutes long...

Looking at my iTunes music library, I see "Ther Great Nothing" by Spock's Beard at the top with a time of 27:01 . Last played September 19th, 2004. Quite recently.

Below that, there's Genesis "Supper's Ready", Brotherhood of Groove "Pocket Full of Funk", Stravinsky "The Rite of Spring - part II"... but I haven't put in any of my Dream Theater CD's yet, and also I quite regularily listen to TransAtlantic ("All Of The Above" is over 30 min, IIRC). Is "Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence" by Dream Theater concidered one track?

Anyway, there you go. Lots of long stuff.

Often I'll listen to classical/modern quartets all the way through. Some of the quartets are 20 to 35 minutes long, and this Shostakovich Piano Trio that I'm really liking lately is 30 minutes.

In terms of jazz, the longest song I listen to on a fairly regular basis is "Bitches Brew," which clocks in at 27 minutes.

Been a while, so I figure I can repost in this thread now Right now the longest song in my 25 most played list on iTunes is Lord Only's Spiritual Animal at 8:39. I also suspect that Petrucci & Rudess' Hang 11 may soon break into that list at 11:38,

Been a while for me too and lately I've been listening to Coheed and Cambria's "Light and the Glass" and "2113" both are about 9-10 minutes each.

I'm a bigh fan of "A Change Of Seasons", but like one other poster, my longest is the marathon "Light of Day, Day of Darkness" clocking in at 60:06. I actually listen to it start to finish pretty often, though sometimes I skip around a little. (Usually it's to pass over the female vocal solo in the middle, for those that are familiar. Not really my bag.)

Giving that song a focused listen is a pretty epic undertaking, fortunately it's excellent music IMO, which makes it much easier.

.. maybe disqualified, but ...

someone suggested I get Zappa's "The Best Band You Never Heard", a 1988 CD. I did, and while some is typical Zappa making fun of his audience ...

On the first side - starting at track 7 - "Zomby Wolf" - to the end of that side - I'm not sure the length, but it is one continuous live recording - and it is quite a nice ride.

.. it's currently my favorite "greater than 3:05" song.

Check out the Adagio, at around 25 minutes. It might actually qualify as a "song" as it is one tune, if you will, and it blows away even King Crimson's "Starless" in sheer gorgeousness. Get it from the library, settle back in a comfortable chair, and visit the angels for a half hour.
This reminded me of a story - may be true: When compact disk's were being invented, it was pretty open how "big" they would be ... the then-president of Sony decided he wanted to hear Beethovens 9th all the way through ... so that's why compact disk's were originally 74 minutes long.

+1.. "All of the Above" has been in regular rotation for me since that album came out.

I listen to a lot of Flower Kings as well. Jonas Reingold is one of my favorite bassists to listen to right now.

Dream Theater - In the Name of God 14:14
which is one of the 4 10+ minute tracks in my regular playlist (the others are Dream Theater - Lines in the Sand, Dream Theater - Honor thy Father and Tool - Reflection)
most of the songs in my playlist are around 6-8 minutes long (except for the Children of Bodom stuff which is generally pretty short)
