I just picked up Malange, gave it a listen. There is some very good music on this CD! Pick it up if you get the chance.

I saw him live with Ronald Shannon Jackson some years back. Great player on both electric and acoustic.

I'm strictly an electric bassist, and I was very impressed with what he does on an upright bass! He's more funky and faster on an upright than a lot of electric bassists that I know. This is album is worth the purchase, or at least a listen!

He's a great player, deserving of all the respect he gets. But I'm a little tired of seeing his mug every time I hit the homepage!! Nothing personal, Lonnie. Say, could we have an interview with Rhonda Smith? Now I could look at her mug from now on!
