Hey guys, this is my first post.
I just got together with my friends who were previously in a band but had no bass player. i had been playin guitar and they wanted me to play bass and i was cool to trying something new so my friend lent me his bass and its been great. we have one song, called drunken (haha) and i was wonderin what some of you guys thought about it.

please let me know what you think weve had two full practices and we only recorded once together. tell me what you think of the whole band. transitions are not perfect i know that.

thanks a lot

Thumbs up

Hi and welcome to Talk Bass. Dude, you guys sound tight and your bass playing sounds really good considering you BORROWED a bass to play. I bet you guys are going to do great! What kind of a bass are you going to buy?

That is like asking what kind of car to buy. There are many 'you can't go wrong' types like Fender or Music Man, but you need to hit the store and start trying a few out. Search around Talk Bass too, there will be a thread on just about every bass ever made. Good luck!
