The song is called Storms End.

My intonation is pretty horrible on the fretless bits, but i don't think its too bad for my first attempt at looping and first few weeks with a fretless.

For a first attempt that wasn't bad.

You might want to check out Steve Lawson. He has a forum along with Michael Manring here on TalkBass. Your tune was reminiscent of his work.

Keep it up!

i appreciate it. Steve Lawson is pretty much my role model for the solo bass thing. i think i need a bit better fretless than a squier VM jazz...lol

Your fretless sounded fine. I have a MIM Fender Jazz myself.

You called it on the intonation, it's a little iffy. But the structure and melody are awesome, I actually dig your tone too. Good job.

But why is "The Winds Blow Strong" a weird version of Cliff Burton's solo? I don't think you can play other people's stuff, put a slight variation on it and call it something else

I like your stuff, but, that's a little weird...

actually the only thing is the same.....i copied it cuz i liked it and used the full version of that song in a talent show last year. thats just a minute of it......i made it 5 minutes.....just never got around to recording it. all my friends wanted to hear it again, so i threw what i had on there.i admit, it's a pretty obvious ripoff.
