Love - Forever Changes: Great album!!

Why hasn't anyone mentioned this brilliant album yet? This is such a great and fresh sounding album it's hard to believe it came out the same year as Sgt. Pepper. I never heard a folk/rock album that featured strings and brass at the same time. I got it a few weeks ago and it's gone into high rotation on my cd player.

Any other Love fans?

I bought it a few years ago after seeing The Doors' movie & then reading a couple of Doors' books...agreed, Love were way ahead of their time.

great great record man! i just bought it last year after hearing a lot about it. arthur lee was one of a kind for sure. very strong songwriter with grand ambitions that seemed to be fully realized on this record.

You don't hear a lot of acoustic guitar-based psychedelic music. IMO that was his forte. I've got a box set that includes Forever Changes. Great stuff, he was ahead of his time.

I'm number 5. It's always nice to see some Love love. That is definitely their best album, but they're all good (especially the ones with Echols, MacLean, Forssi and Lee). Lee's great, but I think MacLean's Alone Again Or is equal to Arthur's masterpieces like A House is Not a Motel. And how about Ken Forssi's basslines! He really reminds me of Duck Dunn, but then so does every bassist I dig!

There's a box set? cool!

What's in it, the complete discography? I wouldn't mind getting into it a bit more.
