I received this new Yes album for Christmas and was wondering what anyone else thought. After listening to it more I am really starting to enjoy it. They are playing with a live symphony but the symphony isn't too overpowering, the music is intertwined very well.

I was afraid that the orchestral arrangements would be too... yeah, overpowering and come out as a blanket on top of everything, to create one big mush. But out of the songs I've heard from the album ("In the presence of" and... er, two others) they seem to float into the band's performance rather seamlessly. Nice arrangements, very well-produced, very tasteful. "In the presence of" is a great song too... I really should get that album one of these days.

if you like the symphony stuff, you's should check out Metallica S&M. Excellent stuff. And if you don't like Lars (the lil greedy one), you should at least download No Leaf Clover (that should make evil Lars mad). Its good stuff.
