I often play along to CDs to improve my skills and it's been working very well. Alot of Pino Palladion has been improving my groove and finger style. I want all you to suggest songs that will help my overall playing. Some to learn exactly, others to just groove to. i'm leaving it in your hands. All styles, all genres.

Learn "Right In Two" from the new TOOL album, '10,000 days'.

The song is in complex time (3-3-3-2 or think of it as 11/4) but the chord pattern is pretty straightforward. It's good to practice odd time songs to get comfortable enough to groove and improv your own.

"I'm your Captain" by Grand Funk Railroad is fantastic for building left hand technique.

Child's Anthem/I'll Supply The Love from the debut Toto album with David Hungate on bass.

Modes, scales, groove this sequence covers a lot of ground while being cleverly disguised as late 70's early 80s pop.
