Talking Maple or rosewood?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys, new to this forum, currently own a rattled up oriental work of scrap metal and something along the lines of wood.
looking to upgrade to fender mex pb in about 3 months, but given the fact i live in India, if given the choice between rosewood/maple fretboard, what to choose?
need experience and sound opinion to ride on, please.

Of course, it's all about the sound

In terms of sound, i don't find it to make too much difference, but i prefer maple from an aesthetic point of view, as it looks a lot better to my eyes, so i tend to go for that.

thanks
aesthetics do matter, and i do like the look of maple, but given the fact i'm buying this (expensive at exchange rate) bass, what do you think is better AND hampers playing less?

also, i'm a beginner (about 10 months) bassist, but i've sort of fast-tracked, and i play most genres except heavy metal with my band, so right now i have rosewood, but not a big fan.
Rumble 30 to go with it
Thanks for your opinion, Aditya
