Very nice job, I like your tone. I'm with MM on this you could be a bit tighter and I think other parts were a bit off, maybe because I play it differently. You could work on playing a bit cleaner too as there are few times the you get a bit too much of a clacking efffect (hey we're not playing Maiden here ).

But then again what do I know I'm only 16

Haha, thanks bro! Yea, it wasn't as tight as I could be, I threw that together one blaze through the song. Yeah, I wasn't really paying attention to monitoring my bass while recording, I didn't know I was clacking like that until a few minutes into the song, but oh well. I guess part of me was just trying to mimic Cliff (you can hear his bass do that at times).

The pre-chorus doesn't sound correct, or maybe I'm used to playing it a different way.

Overall it's very good. Nice tone and great playing.

I gotta go find some videos I made of myself playing to Metallica songs. These videos gotta be about 15 years old and It's gonna be embarrassing

Oh and if anyone is wondering that's played with a MIA Fender Jazz 4, straight through (no pre-amplification). Low, low, low action.

Great tone, I enjoyed your interpretation on the song, but work on your volume. Throwing in accents is nice, but it sounded like your volume was erratic at times. Overall though, keep up the progress. Especially for as young as you are, you have a great handle on the music.

...reminds me though, I wanted to throw up a fretless bass version of a song off of MOP. That'll be later though.

Took me a long time to get this song down... Don't know why, but the bridge would always sort of catch me by surprise. Great tone, especially for straight through. :thumbs up:

My advice is the same as the others, but I'd say you're definitely good enough to play it "out" and blow away some people. Recording is a lot more forgiving than bar patrons.

This song is amazing live, when the band is tight.

That was peavyuser replying to me, he said something about him being 16. No tabs were used in the making of this recording or learning this song!

As far as the tone, my low action has a lot to do with it. Especially when I play on the A string.
