Mastodon Crack The Skye

Sign in to disble this ad
Is there anyone out there that's stoked for this album?
I haven't herd a whole lot about it yet. All I know is that it is going to be released in the new year at some point.

Track listing:

01 Oblivion
02 Divinations
03 Quintessence
04 The Czar:

(I) Usurper
(II) Escape
(III) Martyr
(IV) Spiral

05 Ghost of Karelia
06 Crack the Skye
07 The Last Baron

The song titles sound pretty kool, im looking forward for the 4 part song.

The running time for the album is around 50 minutes i believe.

so any mastodon fans out there?

I saw an interview with Troy and he was talking about how many of the parts were more rock and roll than, say, metal. It will be interesting to find out what it's like.

I am very stoked to hear the new album. They are hit or miss live, but in the studio they consistently slay me.

Speaking of Mastadon, here's a funny comic I found...

Excited!

A long time ago I was in an Ozzfest pit with Troy and Brann. They just finished their set and were watching Iron Maiden play. So (not-creepily) I watched my "idols" watch their "idols". It was pretty awesome.

Troy said what's up to me! haha

I sorta see what he meant by more "rock and roll"
The new song, Divinations definitely has a different sort of feel to it.
Sounds amazing though

Love Mastodon
