Blue | OH I wasn't knocking on McCartney. I meant to that to be directed at people that might, though. People will mention it, but its impossible for him to be younger so, so what? He did a pretty great job right there, on a driving rock tune.

I don't care what the naysayers say, Paul singing and those guys blasting...
That rocked.

Like I say about Peyton Manning: Paul McCartney at 80% is still pretty friggin' good and entertaining.

Was it the Beatles, no. Was it Nirvana, no.
But it was some pretty good musicians having fun for a good cause.
What more can one ask?

I can't believe nobody is asking about Macca's guitar? What the heck was that thing? |

He had some awesome guitars, he must have changed guitars at least a half dozen times. Makes a world of difference when you have someone to take one and hand you the other. Switching guitars/ basses by yourself is a pain.
Glad I DVRed the whole thing. Refreshing to see a big TV concert where musicians actually play instruments.
There weren't many real bands playing on the Grammys.

If I saw a band at The Mint or Molly Mallone's playing that "jam", I'd be laughing at the badness as I left. The fact that these people are all legends doesn't make it any less boring and retarded. Besides the whole thing reeks of a stunt.

" Have I ever been involved or played at that level? "
The answer is always no, then I reserve my opinion. But that's just me.

I was on the edge of my seat, far from boring for me.
Look at it this way, it's why they are up there in the " big time" and we're at home watching them.
Stay positive
