Megaman cover!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi!
I got extremely bored a couple of hours ago and decided to record a cover of the Magnetman theme from the NES game Megaman 3. It's recorded with three tracks from my latest bass, a Warwick Streamer Bass (SS1) from '92. The drums are of course programmed. Unfortunately the tapped octave patterns aren't very tight, but they'll have to do for now...
The only effects applied are some compressor and a little reverb. The song was recorded in Cubase through a Soundblaster Audigy card.

The link goes directly to my school web account so i hope it works.

Awww man that is awesome! Props! Theres this local funk band who do the whole Mario Bros. theme, their bassist is sick and their guitarist is pretty darn talented too. Once again awesome stuff!

I listened again, It is super awesome! I love it. Can you do any other oldschool game theme songs and post them? That would be great!

Thanks everybody for the positive feedback! I'm currently recording some other just-bass-and-drums versions of other NES songs. Not very orginal anymore, but quite fun!

Yes but it just opens the song in quicktime. I want to download it on my comp and stick it on a C.D. That is of course if you don't mind Once again keep up the good work!

Nope, i've listened to the music from the game and played by ear. Tabs aren't really my cup of tea.
