Melvins - Stag

Greeting humans!

Does anybody has any idea what Mark Deutrom was using for gear during this record (especially on The Bit)? I love that bass sound!
I searched on wikipedia but no help there. Anyone here maybe?

Thanks,
Dave

My guess would be an SVT with a P or J bass....since that's all I've ever seen Melvins bassists use. It's an assumption, but I may be correct. I'm a big Melvins fan. There isn't really a secret to getting their tone.

Edit: Just googled him and I found a picture of him with a Fender P standing in front of two Ampeg 8x10s

I love those big heavy vroooms at the start of 'The Bit'... It sounds more like a J than a P to me, it has that two pickup twang to it.
