I don't know but I'd like to find out. I have heard the reissue is better but I haven't heard it myself.

I suggest you check out both, perferably the original first, so you can REALLY hear the differences between them very well.

Yeah, I've got the original. If I see the remaster cheap I'll pick it up probably. Its not my favourite album of theirs anyway.

Just vote carrots then.

I intended this poll to determine, out of the people that liked the album, which copy they liked more.

I'm sorry.

It also comes with a DVD with footage of them perfroming and some music videos. It's pretty cool.

Reissue- much clearer tone, better mixing, and much, much tighter playing.

I like how the guitars sound on the remix, much fuller and not nearly as much nasty harmonics. The vocals also sit better in the mix.

However, the drums were butchered IMO. On the original they gave a much needed live feel and some songs really need that loud steady beat crash/china cymbal to tie the insanity together. However nice the DFH triggered toms may sound on the remix, all kinds of dynamics are gone and the cymbals pretty much go "psssh" somewhere in the background.

So for me, the ultimate Nothing would be a combination of the two. Until that exists, I'll stick with the original.

I think I like the new one better because of the clearer tone. It sounds much bigger.

Yeah the program drums do sound kinda fake. Not anything bad enough to stop me from enjoying teh songs though. The only song I can think of that isn't quite as good with the new tone is "Straws Pulled At Random", the intro sounds really wrong with out that treble and that "boing" sound to it.

So the concencus here (so far, things may change in the future) is that things are pretty equal across the board.

Totally agreed.

Just wanted to bump this thread because I gave in and bought the reissue today and IMO it is totally worth it. The guitars sound so much better than the original.

When I first bought Nothing back in 2002 I never really got that into it, but after hearing the reissue a couple times I'm really starting to like this album.

I always dig the originals. What do you think about Fredrik Thordendal´s solo CD ? I think it´s amazing.

Sol Niger Within? It's a good disc, but a little tough to follow. With so many short tunes, you don't quite know where one ends and another begins. Not only that, many of the songs have too many similarities to them. After awhile, they all kinda sound the same.

Couldn't agree more with you on every single aspect!
