They continue their tradition of horrible singers. Ever see the Metallicas movie?
Hetfield can't sing in key. It was painful. I am open to any style of singing as long as it's in key.

I do like Lou Reeds "talk singing".

I listened to the clip.
It is a failure.
The 2 different artists do not combine well. The end product is less than the sum of their parts.

It's hard to judge on such a small sample size but that did nothing to make me want to hear more.

I'm betting it's better than the Krauss/Robert Plant trainwreck.

I'm guessing it was not his liking.

Sarcasm? I'm sure they'd bring back Cliff if it were possible.

I'm probably the only one who actually wants more. As someone who knows nothing about Lou Reed and Velvet Underground, I think this is pretty cool. It's impossible to judge an entire album on 30 seconds. The "talk singing" is really interesting to me. I also love anything with Metallica's name on it, so why not. Rest assured, I will get this.

Cant be worse than st. anger.

I feel like metallica really made a comeback with death magnetic... even though people hate it because its metallica. "that was just your life" is a bad ass song. cyanide is a great sing along crowd pleaser, and the judas kiss just shreds.

face it, metallica (are)* the beatles of metal.

How? They just got heavier afterwards, atleast up to the black album.

Kill em all is like a speed blues album.

I'm not a huge Lou Reed fan, but in theory this could be interesting. Listening to the demo, though, I'm not too sure - and especially the juxtaposition of his voice with Hetfield's... just doesn't work for me.
