I tell you what, when the Metallica tune really kicks in at about 50 seconds, and you hear all those major 7th and 9ths and that clean chorus guitar sound, I lost it. Just pure wonderfulness there. The funny thing is, the Rippington type groups actually do the same 'bass and guitar face' sort of thing... if you had never heard of Metallica, you would assume they were a pretty decent smooth jazz 'outfit'  |
