You get a few glimpses of him, and he's interviewed for about 15 seconds.

But the movie is still worth seeing, IMO, just to watch and hear Michael Jackson. I enjoyed him before, but now I'm convinced that he's one of the true greats.
See it in a theater. Don't wait to watch it on a small screen.
(Also, you *do* get to see Jackson interact quite a bit with the band-- discussing arrangements, cues, different feels, etc., and it's fascinating. Just not a lot with Alex Al.)
