MicroMemo - Has anyone used it to record?

Attn. Mod: Feel free to move this to recording gear. I thought I posted it there:

I was reading through Aug07 Bass Player Magazine and there was an add for MicroMemo. This device turns your IPod Nano into a "high-quality digital recorder". The street value is about $50-$60.

I wonder if anyone used it and what they think. It seems like a good idea for a cheap portable didtal recorder for those who already own a ipod nano

I just found this review on ILounge.com

This is the first review related to our problem Ive seen.

I'm disapointed.
I bought this one so I could record rehearsals from my rock band. This just doesn't work. It saturates very easily, and since it doesn't have an input gain adjuster, it's just useless. I suppose I'd have to plug it in the mixing board, via line-in. That just ruins all the portability and practicity of it. Doeas anybody knows a way to adjust input gain? A hack maybe?
