Honestly, middle-eastern is a stretch. About as middle-eastern as the end of Kashmir (read that as not very).

Listen to the Secret Chiefs 3 if you want to hear a band playing middle-eastern sounding tunes, but I digress.

The tune doesn't do anything for me. Not a fan of the tone or playing. Fair warning, I'm not a fan of solo bass. Not in the slightest.

Being vary interested in this kind of music myself and trying to write it as well i admit i like your piece. I especially like the part just after the short break at about the 21 second point.

I like your tone , even if its not fully clear (due to my computers speakers), what kind of gear are you usuing?

I've always felt music in a middle eastern vibe should be a little higher tempoed but your clip is a great example of it being otherwise.

Keep it up.

My tone isn't the best in this recording because it was recorded direct in(it was late and using an amp was out of the question) I am using nothing but a Washburn XB 102

Glad you liked it!!

You mentioned wanting to play this style of music.
Using the Arabic(Maj with b2 and b6) and Dimished scales are good for getting this tonality
