I've been checking this guy out lately and the composer Mike Post (BMI) is amazing. He's done so many awesome TV show jingles over the years. Off the top of my head he's done - The A Team, Chips, The Rockford Files, Night Rider, Magnum PI, Hill Street Blues, and more recently a bunch of cop shows like NYPD Blue.
