So I'm looking for some good albums/bass players/tunes to check out that display some typical bass patterns for R&B ..

I'd like to hear some smooth and funky vocal music that has prominent bass. Something that I can woodshed on for days or weeks to get some R&B flavor ingrained in my blood.

I did a search and couldn't really find anything especially since the search field doesn't find things 3 characters or less... and because I'm mainly looking for R&B it's hard to find anything.

Any music would help I'm an R&B/gospel/soul noob and even something obvious would probably help
