Mommyheads - Bingham's Hole

anyone heard this recording? It has some GREAT bass lines, very clever and well executed. Jeff Palmer is his name. Apparently he is a multi-instrumentalist; allmusic.com has drum, keyboard, amd violin credits listed for him.

If you've heard this, what other records should I seek out? I have all the Mommyheads' stuff.

I love that CD -- it's one of the best power pop albums of the 90s that nobody heard. The bass player is outstanding, but I've never heard him on anything else. If you like the Mommyheads, I'd also recommend:

Falling Wallendas
Fountains of Wayne
Jellyfish
Adam Schmitt
The Posies
Material Issue
Redd Kross (esp. Phaseshifter and Show World)

I love power pop, and there are loads of others I could suggest if I was at home looking at my CDs, but those will get you started.

have you heard the Adam Elk (nee Cohen - leader of the Mommyheads) solo record called Labello? It is even better than Bingham's Hole.

No, I haven't heard that. I guess I'll have to track it down.
