I recently posted a song I did for a friend, and now I would like to have some feedback on my main project.

The two songs, Six Feet & Taken Away are probably the most diverse as far as my playing goes. I blended a bit a of slap and tap into these, tell me what you think!

I'll have a stab at this one - except for some diversions with Kraftwerk, I've been listening to a lot of Norma Jean, Poison the Well & Opeth lately. I'm in the right frame of mind

Anyway, bass content:

Your playing's definitely tight enough, but I'm having a little trouble hearing the bass, considering you're in a one guitar band and you're playing a Thumb. You should by all rights be more prominent in the mix. The slap stuff ends up being a little understated because of that - still adds a Mudvayne-ish vibe to things though.

Ah - I just figured out why, it's picking up over the end of the fretboard like that. More warmth, less presence. Also, you seem to be playing with a really soft touch - Warwicks like to be treated a little rough, they can take it! That's also why studios have compressors Maybe mix it up a little more. I like to anchor on the bridge pickup and really dig in for the heavy bits, and play over the fretboard for the soft stuff (and anywhere in between).

Still, good sounding tunes there

yes, since the recording process I have been playing on the bridge pickup almost all the time for the "heavier" bits.

thanks for the comments
