"happiness is a warm gun" by the beatles comes close.....
"She's not a girl who misses much
Do do do do do do
oh, yeah
She's well acquainted with
the touch of the velvet hand
Like a lizard on a window pain
The man in the crowd with the
multicolored mirror on his hobnail boots
Lying with his eyes while his
hands are busy working overtime
A soap impression of his wife which
he ate and donated to the National Trust"
perticularly that part. what are your opinions???

At the Drive-In was insane on acid, ced and omar. Im pretty sure all their songs were inspired by trips.
But as far as beatles go, i guess. |

You can rape the world and be creative now
You can kiss the right side of your brain
Oh, they can tell the tarot for the rest of us
And I can crown me Tarzan, king of Mars
Oh, they can tell the tarot for the rest of us
And I can crown me Tarzan, king of Mars
All the blazing suns
Suck up all the gods and punks
It's enough to change your life
And you know I love to come
I can see beyond your dreams
I can see on TV
Keep it all for me babe, all forever
Monster Magnet - Third Alternative
My hands up to the maker, my head's down in the bomb
I swim in bloated vision, and I kiss you on the phone
My heart beats so atomic, and I spill the sweat of drones
A mouth screams to a hundred, and my lips split all alone
Sometimes I think this pig will just explode
Sometimes I hope this torture just goes on
Well I'll stuff myself in a pi of darkness
And I'll slam 'till I can't see home
Would you like to hope for Eden, that I keep a steady hand
Do you want to milk the syrup of a thousand year old man
Shall we **** each other's babies, let momentum do its best
Keep our shrieking little urges in our burned out little heads
Well I sense a slight recoil was it something that I said
Sometimes I think this pig will just explode
Sometimes I hope this torture just goes on
Well I'll stuff myself in a pit of darkness
And I'll slam 'till I can't see home
Dropping off the edge of nowhere
Everything I've ever known
This is what you asked for
Now this is what you'll get
Sometimes I think this pig will just explode
Sometimes I hope this torture just goes on
Well I'll stuff myself in a pi of darkness
And I'll slam 'till I can't see home
Dropping off the edge of nowhere
Everything I've ever known
I've ever known
I've ever known
I've ever known

"Down On The Street"
Huh!
down on the street
where the faces shine.
floatin' around i'm
a real low mind.
see a pretty thing - ain't no wall.
see a pretty thing - ain't no wall.
no wall,
no wall,
no wall.
Uuh!
yeah deep in the night
i'm lost in love.
yeah deep in the night
i'm lost in love.
a thousand lights
look at you.
a thousand lights
look at you.
i'm lost, i'm lost, i'm lost - yeah.
Huh
faces shine - real low mind.
real low mind.
i'm a real low mind.
real low mind |

it's still getting worse after everything i've tried
what if i found a way to wash it all aside
what if she touches with those fingertips
as the words spill out like fire from her lips
if she says come inside i'll come inside for her
if she says give it all i'll give everything to her
i am justified
i am purified
i am sanctified
inside you
Heaven's just a rumor she'll dispell
as she walks me through the nicest parts of hell (dance of hell)
i still dream of lips i never should have kissed
well she knows exactly what i can't resist
if she says come inside i'll come inside for her
if she says give it all i'll give everything to her
i am justified
i am purified
i am sanctified
inside you
i'm just caught up in another of her spells
well, she's turning me into someone else
every day i hope and pray that this will end
but when i can i do it all again
and if she says come inside i'll come inside for her
and if she says give it all i'll give everything to her
i am justified
i am purified
i am sanctified
inside you
i am justified
i am purified
i am sanctified
inside you |

Song Title: Sun Cycle
Album: Outsideinside
The lady folded
Her silver hair
Behind her back
With the strings of a veil.
And cut me a pack
Of a famous sword
Sharp to East
Her magnitude
That made the table
In an infinite tangle.
And then the darkness came
And wrapped on velvet feet
And here through the window
I saw a quickening eye.
Reflecting time
In the blowing night
And pulled the shade
To a clear green game
And from the visions
Riding heavy sea.
And from the visions
Riding heavy sea
That cast the ships
Into a sink as man
And burn the ringing
Don't wanna carry inside.
Then the morning came
Lapping up the winds
From the tainted table
That was serving time
It's silver spoon
That was breathing stars
Images flown
Like the birds of high
Wings in the sun
What a blessed sight. |

A stately pleasure-dome decree :
Where Alph, the sacred river, ran
Through caverns measureless to man
Down to a sunless sea.
So twice five miles of fertile ground
With walls and towers were girdled round :
And there were gardens bright with sinuous rills,
Where blossomed many an incense-bearing tree ;
And here were forests ancient as the hills,
Enfolding sunny spots of greenery. "

I like drugs
I really really like drugs
I hope I die of an overdose
While I'm getting my d*** s****d by a black w****
CHORUS:
Drugs are good for me and you
Drugs are good for our kids, too
I like to sell drugs
I made a lot of money doing it
I went to jail once for it
But I brought my drug empire to prison
CHORUS
And I became the big shot of the prison
And everyone there respected me and my money
And nobody ever f****d with me
Because I could have them killed with a nod of my head
CHORUS
If drugs are bad why have they been so good to me?
(repeat and fade)
Funny thing about this song...if you play it backwards, you can make out the words "Don't mod your bass...leave it stock!"
And no, I didn't just make these lyrics up off the top of my head just because I thought this was a dumb topic. That's a real song written by someone else. Really. No, I'm serious. |

Dude, pass the owsley... | "That's It For The Other One"
Words and music by Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, and Bill Kreutzmann ("That's It For the Other One," composed and written by Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, and Bill Kreutzmann.
["Cryptical Envelopment"]
The other day they waited, the sky was dark and faded,
Solemnly they stated, "He has to die, you know he has to die."
All the children learnin', from books that they were burnin',
Every leaf was turnin', to watch him die, you know he had to die.
The summer sun looked down on him,
His mother could but frown on him,
And all the other sound on him,
He had to die, you know he had to die.
["Quodlibet for tenderfeet": Instrumental]
["The Faster We Go The Rounder We Get: aka part 2]
Spanish lady come to me, she lays on me this rose.
It rainbow spirals round and round,
It trembles and explodes
It left a smoking crater of my mind,
I like to blow away.
But the heat came round and busted me
For smilin on a cloudy day
[Chorus]
Comin', comin', comin' around, comin' around, comin' around in a circle
Comin', comin', comin' around, comin' around, in a circle,
Comin', comin', comin' around, comin' around, in a circle.
Escapin' through the lily fields
I came across an empty space
It trembled and exploded
Left a bus stop in its place
The bus came by and I got on
That's when it all began
There was cowboy Neal
At the wheel
Of a bus to never-ever land
[Chorus]
["We Leave the Castle"]
And when the day had ended, with rainbow colors blended,
Their minds remained unbended,
He had to die, oh, you know he had to die. |

Only New Year's I ever got in to... | That is pretty weird. Especially considering this is the first time in months that I've actually listened to the Dead. If you don't have it and you have a fast connection you can download the show from gdlive.com . There is a Seraphin Studios Soundboard of this show in .SHN (lossless) format there. It's fast, free and legal.
The closest I got to a New Year's show was in '88. At least I managed to get in on the 29th. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
