Most evil sounding instrumental song ever...

My vote: King Crimson, "Level 5" from the album "Power to Believe", featuring some very cool work by Trey Gunn...

This song is so evil that my girlfriend's 6 year old boy heard it and, while holding his Thomas the Tank-engine toy said "This song is scaring Thomas!". I was perversely pleased...

Mr. Winter's "Frankenstien" gets my vote.

Level 5 is not really scary....more a Universal Horror type music.

Not instrumental but Disturbing the Priest or Zero the Hero by Sabbath are much more evil to me.

I know, huh? And the lack of a bass doesn't bother me strangely.

ELO (and I'm not a big ELO fan) - Fire on High (from "Face the Music")
Should be the soundtrack to The Exorcist.
Fortunately, the major key comes back and restores the balance of good in the Universe

I always dug the theme from Rosemary's Baby.

Dead Skin Mask by Slayer?
I've never actually heard it but once saw it on a CD and never forgot.

Some of the stuff by Supermachiner tends to start sounding pretty sinister.

But honestly... if you want evil insturmentals... love em or hate em... nothing really gets more evil sounding than SunnO))).

I've seen them live a few times and nothing really beats seeing a LITERAL wall of amps in a room filled with fog, while guys wearing dirty robes with insturments drop tuned to like X play louder than anything you have ever heard.

Level Five is awesome, one of my favourite King Crimson songs of all time, but most evil? I'm not sure, although I suppose it is kind of menacing.

LOL

But not instrumental...

Martin Mendez's bassline for "The Grand Conjuration" by Opeth. At 1:22, it is so freakin' creepy (especially when the acoustic guitar comes in). Not instrumental, but the bass is so evil. As is the song/ lyrics.

Pink Floyd's Careful with that Axe Eugine is tops to me, the other is Zappa's Monster Machine Magnet off of Freak Out.
