Is the question posed as the most recognizable song in general, or to the individual poster?

If we're talking about the most recognizable opening bass line in popular music, then I would have to stick with Under Pressure.

If we're talking about me personally, I would have to go with Innocent Exile by Iron Maiden.

I'd agree with 'Under Pressure' though.

Doesn't Low Rider start with the cowbell?
I'd nominate the Beastie Boys' Sabotage, but it starts with a drum crack along with the bass.

I'm going to cheat and say Jumpin' Jack Flash. The song doesn't start until the bass slide up to the high Bb.
