I moved this from the Recordings forum

A few months ago there was a thread that talked about Hired Guns being used for POP artists that you would not expect.
Here is an example that I just ran across but would have never expected.

A friend asked me to find her a song by an 80/90's group called "Everything But the Girl" They were around during the Pet Shop Boys era, remember "West End Girls"? Anyway, I remembered EBTG had a song called "Driving" that was pretty laid back and had a decent bass groove. I liked it ok but thought of it as just another 80's tune. It came out in 1990 but really 80's ish. Here are clips to get an idea of the type of music. The real kicker is the list of backing musicians. Note who is the bass player
