Thumbs up Moving Pictures - 30 years!

February 7, 1981, my favorite album of all time was released. Hearing Geddy's awesome tone and great lines set me on the path to playing bass, and thus, changed my life.
Let's hear it for this monumental achievement in recorded music.

My favorite album when it was released, and still is 30 years later. A genuine masterpiece that has stood the test of time, and the the all-time ultimate bass tone imho.

Very cool. Sadly I didn't get into Rush until college, after having played bass for seven years or so. But it changed my thinking about bass for sure. Viva la Moving Pictures!

30 years! Damn I feel old. Seriously, though, this is one of my favorite albums and listening to it brings back a lot of good memories from high school. I agree with the comments above. This album is really a masterpiece.

Yes, I agree. I've loved this record for 30 years and I'm still not tired of hearing it.
Still listen to it often.

Man, this makes me feel old!!! I was in High School when Moving Pictures came out. Sorry, but IMHO it was the last great Rush(studio) album. Rush was my first concert, I saw them in 1982 when Signals came out. Great show, never cared for that album.......

The perfect album. Amazing technical ability, great songs, an incredible instrumental, commercial relevancy without "selling out" and flawless production. 30 Years and still going strong.

It was my favorite Rush album when it came out and it still is 30 years later. IIRC, wasn't it the last album Terry Brown produced for them?

"Moving Pictures" was the first present I purchased for my girlfriend in March 1981. I was 16, in love and albums were still big...

Holy crud, I sound like a Lifetime channel movie!!!!!

Great album though!!

You will love it. I got to see them perform it here in Tulsa last year. Those three guys are still the most talented band out there.

Awesome album. Didn't know yesterday was the 30th anniversary of its release, though. Gonna have to give it a spin later when I get off work...
