sure its impressive, but compare it to a piano version and it sounds like pooters. | I agree with this one. There's just better instruments for doing this on. Same goes for a lot of other songs typically not written for bass. Saw a guy do a great version of flight of the bumble bee on bass, but it would sound a lot better on another instrument

Thanks, that was me, but I can't front...I was quoting someone else...I think it was Jeff Berlin. I concurr wholeheartedly tho.
Sure, the kid has chops, but chops ain't the whole bag, can the kid play original composition in a band context? Wow me then. |

Nobody is hatin here, but myna birding famous past works is hardly an accomplishment on a creative level.

The main point is yeah, the kid has decent chops. But that particular piece doesn't work well on bass. |

| | | | if i post jean baudin playing mario theme, ur not gonna hate on him.
just dont' say technically he's good but can't compose. have you heard anything else by him?
oh he can tap but can he play in a band?
if he can learn that piece i'm sure if he want's to play in a band he has the work ethic to figure that out too. and if he isn't in a band and doesn't want to be then who cares. i say play what you want, that never means anyone wants to hear it but the artist is allowed to enjoy it anyway |

As I watch this video, I can't get the image of the little green-haired lemmings falling from their trap door or digging through a wall out of my head. Ahh, Lemmings. What a great game.
