Just a quick question about Know Forever from Ld50. In the verse section, is Ryan slapping really fast or is it just his fingerstyle playing with his warwick/ampeg, or is he just some sort of wizard?

I believe it's his fingerplaying style. For those parts he just digs in real hard. I have their Live in Peoria DVD and it shows him playing with some pretty aggressive plucking. I know just what you mean, though, it does sound slapped.

i think its just his finger plucking technique. He said he didn't do a lot of slap on that album

Looks like he's using the "typewriter" technique, tapping the strings over the frets with his right hand fingertips.
