Anyone??? Is this the first TB thread on it?? It's the third new album I've purchased in the last few weeks, got this one on release day. Only the third album I've purchased in a couple of years.
Revived my desire to buy a Warwick.
It's the best music these guys have put out to date - Ryan is continuing to rip it up with a thick-syrupy tone and Greg is playing like a true metal guitarist, even with solos.
Good stuff for fans!

That was a great record, considering it was metal, but since then they haven't came close to topping it and it looks now like they never, ever will. |

Ryan and Matt are both fantastic players, yet from what little I've heard off the New Game it seems that Greg is finally starting to get in line with them a bit better.

this album is also more for muso's i'd say - especially anyone wanting delve in there jazz playing, absolutely amazing how Ryan can come up with some of the stuff he does on that album....

| | | | forgot about this little thread. i listen to this album about 4x/week and really enjoy it. it's great to hear how well ryan gets to work in this album - his decreased slapping is a real treat.
i really disagree with critiques of chad not belonging - his vocal style is just different enough to make a good band. his clear and intelligible lyrics are unlike so much mush in today's metal. while i agree greg isn't the flashiest guitarist in metal history he suits this band well, plus he is a hell of a nice guy. besides, not many guitarists will allow room for a bass player to show off in a similar fashion. his time with hellyeah has really allowed him to mature musically, and the beginning of the last track of the album sounds to me like a riff directly from dime himself, almost like a lost track that never made it to a recording and was 'gifted' by vinnie.
they've put together a fantastic album without forging away from sounding like themselves. |

But otherwise I totally agree. I really don't like this new album.
