Musical Spittoon! - add your playing to the MP3 game.

Ok, Wrong Robot and I came up with a new TB game - one that will require you to pick up your bass for once! It's a game of Musical Spittoon. Here's how it works:

1. Somebody (me) starts the game with a four bar section.

2. The next person can do ONE of the following: A) Add a track on top of a single four bar section, or B) add another four bar section after the previous, with a four track limit.

3. Post the results for the next guy.

Make sense? I've started the game with four bar section with the four track limit. The person after me can add something on top, or continue it with a four bar, four track section behind it. Other than that, there's no rules to what you can add. For some reason I just ended up with one track of drums and three tracks of bass, but if you want, you can add vocals, bird calls, or even g**tar. Just make sure you're fast; it would kind of suck if two people were working on the same section.

If you need help hosting, you can email me your contribution (mp3 format, please!) and I'll host it.

OK, here's the first four bars: Musical Spittoon (mp3) . For reference, it's at 120 bpm and sort of in D. Let the madness begin!

This is very cool! And not a big download. You guys have to get it just to hear the craziness. You'll be putting this on repeat the whole day, and if you don't, it will just get stuck in your head anyways.

Just wanted to touch on this. If this project does take off and this comes up, then it would be helpful to post a quick "I got next" right before you start working on it.

But be fast, I think a big part of this experiment is the SPITTOON aspect, ya know? I hope some more people can start contributing soon.

The whole calling next idea is what I was thinking too.

But alas most of us have no recording software or hardware.

So I personally can't take place in this game.

Yo B-Head - that last bit f***ing kills man!

Someone add a solo over my loop - or I'll do it in a day or so - we need more contributions...
