Besides Jamerson, does anyone know of any recording with a muted P bass. Just interested in how it sits in the mix other than the Motown examples and maybe if there is another player that uses more of a muted tone than Jamerson.

Carol Kaye of course. 'Good Vibrations' is a great example or Joe Cocker's 'Feelin' Alright'.
