Just wanting opinions on a new electronic/dark ambient version of Ave Maria that i have just completed. I realise the drone in a few places is too strong and also the spectral flanging effect isn't perfect either. However, if you could give me some opinions on it i'd be pretty grateful www.myspace.com/linescreen

Perhaps fill out the frequency spectrum more? And add melody?

| | | | BOC & FMND great to see you are hip to boards and New Delhi FM,
your Ave version is nice... dreamy....but if I had to pick on something I would say its too straight, maybe make it a bit weird with some creative noise, loops, something that not necessarily melodic. Kind of like what you did with "Brooding"..which was super
Anyway I thought it was fine out of the box but when I saw you had Boards up on your #1 spot, this is what came to mind

The many hours put into is now even more rewarding I will take on board you have all said, trying filling out the spectrum a bit more perhaps and see if i could do anything interesting in means of melody.
Boards of Canada are just stunning, i am a massive fan. If i had anything like their talent i would be rich
Brooding Menace took substantially longer than Ave Maria, but yeh i may look to include some '' creative noises, loops ''

| | | | Have you heard the latest BOC? I wasnt thrilled with Campfire (the guitar was out of place IMO), but MHTRTC & Geo were absolutely epic.
I devoured those releases more so than just about anything contemporary I can think of

| | | I REALLY like your stuff man, it's awesome.
I used to post here in the experimental thread...like 2 years ago. You'd fit right in.
I love the drone you have going. It's dark and challenging, yet very calming and never intrusive.
I'd really appreciate your views on my new stuff at http://www.myspace.com/raayl |

| | | | Stuff like what you do is what I hunted the internet for, back when I was first starting.
That Matt Till guy was one of my first noise friends. =D I WONDER IF HE REMEMBERS ME?
But yeah-music made by people I know personally and interact with is always the best kind. Feel free to hit me up with new tunes, I like to talk about it and exchange ideas/etc. Whore your page, too-get friends and get plays. =) |
