Hey all!!!
Just uploaded Come on Come Over yesterday, and i've actually been rated pretty bad according to one of the commenters, but i really don't think i did a 1 star performance...
here the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efDFiPPB4kg
Please rate and comment if your there!
I'd love to hear everyone's input too; timing and rhythm, technique perhaps?
Thanks all, REALLY REALLY appreciate all thoughts.

I think you are attempting something that sounds beyond you - you are just rushing to fit in notes without regard to groove and feel and to be honest, I had to stop watching at that point as it made me feel queasy - sort of like sea-sick - the tension created between what it should be and what was happening.
Sorry if that sounds harsh - but I think you need to re-visit the chorus and try playing it slowly and building up to that tempo...etc etc.

good job though.

Hmm ok interesting Bruce and thanks for the comment, appreciate it. I'm not too sure which part exactly of the main riff i have wrong but ill revisit the music again.
As for the chorus, i was gonna check that one out again soon. But thanks.
If anyone has accurate music of this they'd like to share of this song, please post too!
Many thanks Bruce |

I would get a metronome and work out the parts at a slower tempo and gradually work up to tempo and even beyond. As Bruce mentioned, your time is off. The 16th need to be right on the beat. I'm working on the same type of things with my son who, like all of us at one point, wants to play as fast as possible. If you/he can't play it in time, with groove/feel, at a slow tempo it can't be done quickly. |

The beauty of a 'nome is that you can slow it down until you nail it, and then bring it back up to full speed and beyond. If you find your fingers not moving fast enough, you have to drop notes here and there to stay in time.
I suck, and I do it all the time, and no one then notices I suck.
You dont suck. But I never liked that particular bass line anyhow. Timing is tough.
Get some Meters and follow George around, git up in his pocket. That **** will get ya gigs!

| | | | Respectable. I'd say keep going and working on it!
There's more work to do, but I'd say you're well on your way. (I take the glass is half-full, rather than the half-empty approach).
Nobody plays this right off the bat after their first week on bass, so I recognize that you've worked really hard at it, and you've come a long way. Great effort.
Keep it up.
