My band.. criticize please..

Hello everybody! I just got done remaking our bands myspace because we changed our name.. and you can't change the URL.. (annoying..).

Our name is Black Blues and we play a heavyish blues rock.. kind of. We have some pretty good quality recording up right now and I want to know what you guys think of them.

Just so start.. the tracks are unmixed and IMO the drums sound like crap in the recordings. However.. I'd like you guys tell me what were doing wrong if you don't like something.. The vocals in caught the wind are going to be redone.. those are just the rough track.. we ran out of time.

Also, keep in mind we are all still in highschool

17 and 18 years old.

Thank you for your time if you do decide to listen.

also: don't be shy to add us to your friends.. we like friends

pretty good, i liked it. i could tell it was a bit rough, but i'm not too picky about stuff like that. all the parts could be heard and worked well together, and it was easy to listen to. kudos on a job well done!

I'm listening now. Singer reminds me of the Cult. I don't know how "bluesy" this is. It sounds more like grungy hard rock to me. I like your bass line on Caught the Wind. Nice work.

Listened to Devil and the Deep... Sounds good.. I would try and smooth out that transition in that bass line and let the notes kind of run together under the guitar doing its more jagged thing... So you can glue the drums and the guitar together...

And make the track just a little bit faster.

I just added you! you sound pretty good! It is a bit bluesy mixed with grunge, very nicely done I must add. I can do graphics work if you'd like a snazzy looking background etc (free of charge of course) just PM me or something, and I'll get to work for you! loving the sound

Hey! You guys sound good! Keep it up! I hope you're getting some gigs together... if you ever make it up to the U.P. let me know! We do have some festivals and places to play you should look into if you feel like it, I know it's hard to believe anything goes on up here but it does, hahaha!

Hey, good stuff!! Maybe its because I'm old, but I especially liked "Caught the wind". It reminds me of the early Crosby,Stills and Nash stuff. Some of you guys might remember them. :-)

And at Mark, we might definitely be interested in some festivals up north!

I'd just have to talk to the band on who would drive all the way up to the UP hahah
