Hi everyone! I'm a long time lurker, first time poster on these forums. I love the info I can grab off of here, so I decided I should probably join!
A little bit about me: I'm 18, currently attending SDSU as a jazz major in my first semester (I play electric bass, still very new to upright but I'd love to learn more). EDIT: I forgot to add, if anyone knows of the great Bob Magnusson (his name is on more than 150 records, played with Sarah Vaughan, Joe Pass, Madonna), he is my private instructor here at SDSU. So, once a week I get to pick his brain for knowledge for an hour. It's treated like a class (I do get graded) but I LOVE it! I'm going to boast; he gave me an A- last semester!
Anyways, on topic: My band Neveready has recently finished our first 10-song CD, recorded here in San Diego at White Horse Recorders. We have a fairly eclectic sound; with 8 members in the group we all draw our influences from many different genres. Personally, I'm a grunge/90's-head (Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, older Incubus [the funkified Fungus Amongus, S.C.I.E.N.C.E.]) while our tenor saxophonist is very knowledgable in the jazz field.
Our lineup is
Guitar/Vocals
Bass
Drums
Trombone
Trumpet
Tenor Saxophone x2
And we have our friend KayBee join us on some songs (he's a rapper)
We came out with 2 music videos recently. I'd love for you to check them out, and let me know what you think!

Our entire album is also on iTunes, Rhapsody, and Spotify, just type in "Neveready"
We're doing our first "mini-tour", hitting UCSB and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo on President's Day weekend (February 17th & 18th). If you like what you hear and you're in the area, you should come check us out, and bring some friends! There will be more info on our Facebook page coming up in the next week or so about those shows.
I appreciate all feedback, I really want to know what my fellow TB'ers think of my band. Thanks so much!
