Arrow My Bands demo (metal) opinions would be GREATLY appreciated

Ok so we are a metal band called protocol we hail from good ole' Montreal and have been playing together since November 08'.

We just finished our demo called "Drinkin' In The Mornin'" and now need some listeners and opinions on our music as a whole.

I've got all the tracks up on Youtube so if you could take a listen that would be great! Losing Control and Creator Of Lies are long but we think we did a good job.

Anyways here are the songs (the demo order is different)

Speed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpTj7...e=channel_page
Creator Of Lies (my favorite) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fC-omoivpsE
Fire At Dawn http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwjqV...e=channel_page
Losing Control http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQbw_V9s0n0

Thanks!

Not bad at all. I think the weakest point was probably the vocals, they sound a bit 'uninspired' (to me). Keep it up, though!

yours is not too bad but i didnt hear any bass on the first song at least a bass lead off i always made sure my bass was heard through the mix ....faster!!!!!

Vetchking Here:"
You got a thing going on...... Good for you.

Your Drummer's out of time on Speed.

also: Out of time on..... Fire at dawn..... and Losing control.

Not to be Mean.........

I am a 56 yr old producer...... Helped train Chris Verena ...NIN.

Produced Ron Marks....... Celtic Frost...... Subsonic, etc, blah, blah.

You guys have something going. Don't know your age... It does matter.

Anyhow, watch the long song....... not a good idea.

Light my fire was 6:50 approx

When the music's over is 11:30.

Thats an art......... It must evolve to be that long.

Get in get out. Killem and It's over. Beatles 2:15...2:35. WOW
3:20 long song.

You need a producer....... an arranger that has compassion for what you guys are doing.

There is a guy older than you that has been through everything you are about to try to do.

Find him.

There ya go.

You can call me......... Your interesting enough for me to produce , But, I am to busy with amp manufacturing......

Call me........ I have an idea......... Do NOT CALL If Your NOT Serious.

724-589-5440 EST time zone......... 8:30 am to 11:30 am

There ya go ask for George.......... Later

I (bassist) is 17, Drummer is 18, and the guitarist is 18.

Also in speed my bass comes in later, i never liked playing in the intro, gives some variation, but after my bass playing isn't bad (listen to the riffs over the singing).

Also does anybody have opinions on my distorted bass solos?

There is one between guitar solos in "Creator of lies", and a Wah filled one in "Losing Control"

Sounds great.Keep it up.The vocals do sound "uninspired".Definitely in need of some F/X on the overall mix, esp. the vocals. But,don't get too happy twistin' those knobs.

I actually thought the tracks we good. I watched some of your other live stuff and, although I'm really into that particular style, it sound good and looked like you were having a lot of fun with it.

Tight sound, especially for such a young age.

Keep it up and good luck!
