Since I have a music theory background and a six string bass, I gravitate towards the chord progressions and voicing of chords.
The ambience is a combination of the keys and the guitar.

We may actual come to India.
The siblings in the band have friends there, and one of the members has been there before too.

My wife and I plan on living in Thailand sometime in the future too; that's not to far.
Great to know that! Finally someone says something about coming to India. REALLY looking forward to seeing you guys in the near future!

This is really good. Not my favorite style, but its something I'd listen to while I'm busy working on something, kinda relaxing. Reminds me a little of Portishead.

Cool Tunes.. Cool Sound.. Cool Lyrics.. Keep it up. .it is defintely something that is not on the same old boring nickleback or american idol sound highway you hear so much of these days..

Its different and it is good.. reminds me a little of Six Pence none the richer.

I like it. I may be totally wrong, but with a lot of changes and breaks not centered on 4/4 straight measures, does this become more appealing to musicians then to Joe everybody?. I totally like your stuff, I just think that with a more ''straight count'', your songs could be easyer to be played on the radio. The mix is good, but it's a general mix. As mentionned before, you might need to find YOUR sound.

But, all this beeing said, you are all pros. Congrats on everything, and best to you and your bandmates.

Love it!! I would buy this!!! I like the ambient feel and I like how you work the keyboards and sounds into the music in a tasteful way.

Dude you have a demo for sale or anything downloadable yet?

I agree with you sir, but having a drum sound which feels more natural is more appealing to every one.

Check this video from a fellow TBer : http://vimeo.com/8948334
Lots of soul in there, and a pretty much natural sound on drums.

Now that I have listened to the songs 3 times each it reminds me of Portishead meets a cool christian band meets a cool movie soundtrack meets the more mellow Incubus stuff. Dig it!!

I thought all of the songs were well done. I thought they were creatively constructed with a relaxed, artistic vibe. They have a consistency in style with each being unique in itself. I thought they were good.

Just got done tracking a song with a vintage moog class D. So huge and thick!
It's not the bass but it is the Low End of things

It's probably just a personal preference, but I wished the bass was brighter or higher in the overall mix. As others have mentioned, the interaction between the bass and drums seems a little sterile, but in this style of music I think that's the norm. Of the songs on your myspace, Liberation is notably better than the other two songs. This song just has a more engaging groove, and I find the textures more interesting to listen to.
