| | | | I like it, you guys are really pretty good. Very alternative. My band is going to try to record our first album in our drummer's church (there's a nice multi track recording system there, and Church sanctuaries have great acoustics anyway, so it seemed perfect.)
But before that, we're recording our gig at that same church to use as a promotional CD that will be free.
While I'm on the subject...
What would a good price for that album be when it's finished? we thought 7 bucks maybe. Put it on itunes and stuff like that.
Thoughts?

I dig the sound, not too heavy, not over produced canned garbage. Its a good sound and current in todays music trends. If you stay in the groove, I think your band has a future. |

Good job. | Yeah, in the end we cut a tiny bit of the bass, because we know how many people just smash their sub from their cheap 2.1 to 11 :P - but we're happy with the result Out of curiousity - KRK 6 or 8 inch? with or without a sub? Great idea with the free promo CD to catch people's interest. No clue about the pricing, though |

Everything sounds really good to my ears, especially the drums (you should send a note of thanks to that studio, lol). The bass sounds great, too.
My favorite track is "Elusive" - it's the one that the singer is least reserved on, he lets go a little and it works for him! Plus the bass sounds great - what did you use for grit?

Edit: Tracks now on my mp3, gonna show my mates these i think.

The grit for the bass in Elusive is made with Pod Farm 2's imitation of a Big Muff Pi |

The quality of recording that can be done in a simple home set up is amazing these day.
Nice work. Sounds good, not a big fan of the singer.

| | | | This sounds great as far as the recording quality. I actually think you guys sound pretty good, too! I was expecting some awful metal for some reason... pleasantly surprised. I will buy the tracks when I get Internet running on my home computer.

Yes - a little more "punch" around 80Hz would be nice, as the bass drum and bass sounds are very good.

Nice work. Sounds good, not a big fan of the singer. | Home recording is good for Demos but when its time to make a major release, the skill, equipment, experience, and recording tricks that a pro studio can't be matched by a home recording.
Still, I've found many small unsigned bands have been putting out incredible self recordings. This band included. |

I'm using the KRK 6" without Sub...but I find the bass response excellent. Not complaining about the sound...I just think a little more bottom would fill out the sound. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
