Last night my band released our first video clip. Filmed over 2 days in a few different places. We did it on a budget of $0 and had a really good time doing it even though it was hard work.
Here it is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itXsJyszWEI
Be warned it is metal, and the director/camera man likes crabcore |

Like the lyrics a lot too. Actually, I am a fan of that music. Could never handle the cookie monster stuff though. I think yoos guys have a bright future ahead of yas. Best of luck. |

Cons- I was actually laughing at the overuse of random pole dance squatting I agree with the post above, it looks contrived and very unnatural. |

The 'crabbing' stuff feels unnatural. My legs were killing me the next day, I normally just do straight head banging but all the metal kids think it looks awesome.
We actually spent a lot of time rewriting the lyrics when we recorded the song which was also self produced and cost us nothing. |

I would have put more blood in it too. Maybe roadkill or something. ;-)
What was the studio setup for the recording?
Rock on!

The drums were done in a big open room at one of the guitards parents house. The vocals were done in a studio in the same building we filmed most of the clip in. And the guitars/bass were done at the guitards home studio. Instead of just micing my amp as and recording that signal I recorded the line signal then used a re-amp box to play it back through my amp and also through some software tones. I think there were 5 different tracks for the bass each with different eq settings/with pedals etc. |
