My bands FREE live album

For the last year I've been playing bass in a post-rock band named Johnny Vancouver. It's a departure from traditional rock for me but I have been loving it.

We mainly play off beat type venues, art festivals and indie culture venues. In October we were asked by a friend to take an hour slot at one of the nicer venues in town. We paid the soundguy $20 and were blown away by the result. I tweaked some things like the soundguy turning the mix up and down initially.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks for listening! I have done pro recordings with my other band that took months and a ton of cash. I can't tell you how happy I was to hear a good and cheap recording.

I used my mij precision bass through a sansamp. He ran direct out of that. On stage I use a gk 800rb through a peavey 4x10.

I appreciate all the compliments!

That's right. My playing is very simple, it's refreshing in a way to hammer roots or drone. I don't know if I could do it if it was my only band because I'd probably end up trying to overplay.

underplaying is the mark of a true band mate...

I can hear you --- it's a constant struggle to learn all this stuff then never use it.
