Question My Band's New Demo

Sign in to disble this ad
So this is my band's new demo. We recorded it live at a studio, but with the bass and keys going straight to the board, the guitar amps were in separate rooms, and the drummer was in a separate room. We recorded the instruments all in 1 day (Saturday) and then mixed/recorded vocals in 1 day (Sunday). It's kind of hard to describe our sound, I guess you could say it's rock with little bits of jazz, and a blues guitarist playing lead. I'm putting it on here in hopes of getting some honest opinions about it from Talkbassers.

You can listen here

Thanks,
Alex

I gave it a quick listen...I thought it was great. Nice free form sort of flow...and a good groove.

Very well done. It's nice to NOT hear guitars slicing your head off, or mixed too loud : )

Nice bass lines too, smoothhhhhhh.

yeah, we're all 15 except for our singer/lead guitarist who is 14, I have a friend who said she was listening to it and her dad came into her room and pretended to play guitar along, and then told her that he really liked it.

I like it. The bassline in the bassline song is tasty. I like your drummers work as well.

yeah, cool groove and feel...the drums are a bit too wet for my tastes, but sounds great for a 2 day record and mix job!!!
