My instrumental band recorded a live demo today for the MySpace, and we were just looking for some feedback. We also have two other demos, but this new song is our best one. Check out "Momentum", and feedback is appreciated!
Thanks!

Actually, we were on a live stage with each amp mike'd going into a PA system lol; no computers involved .
I agree about the keyboards (in some parts), haha. |

the problem lies with the GT-8 and poor mic'ing tho.
I downloaded a John Petrucci patch for my pedal that sounded really good through my practice amp. The Fender Deluxe is my dad's amp which i was very unfamiliar with. After we recorded, i figured out that the noise gate threshold on my GT-8 was cranked and didn't really allow very much resonance. thats why a lot of the stuff sounded really staccato and suffocated.
As far as the general tone tho, the mic'ing is a big factor and i admit that EQing etc. is not my forte.
Really, all i know how to do is play. so when we get more professionally done recordings, im gonna hope that the guitarist for me and mistamarko's old band (i played drums) will step in, considering he is a recording arts major and knows his stuff when it comes to EQing. |

Yea, the guitar tone is pretty crappy, and the keyboards sound like a video game, but putting that aside, I think it's pretty good. Some of the playing is a bit sloppy, and in some parts it almost sounds to me like it's just riffs thrown together. But then again, what do I know? Good start, definitely be working on that one! |

| | | | not my cup of tea, but... To me, you guys sound pretty good. I like your bass sound, and the general talent level seems well above average. I enjoyed your band's sound. Keep pushing on mates!
