nice man! i sometimes wish my band only had one guitarist... cutting through it so much easier with just one guitar player hogging the freqs.

Yeah, but theres only so much one guitarist can play. I love having a seperate guitarist playin a different part. We're still putting stuff together though, this is my most serious project yet

Haha will do, after hearing it many times its annoying me too. We weren't really serious that practice cuz our other guitarist and vocalist couldnt come at the last second and we didnt know the person was makin vids. I just ripped the audio off all the clips.

Nice man, I like it alot. I will add that you're lucky to only have one guitarist. I was recently recruited into a death metal band with 2 guitarists, one who is seriously skilled and realizes the bass's importance and potential, and another who screams feedback at all the wrong times, can't learn songs the whole way through, and downtalks my bass all the time. Like "a pedal? Why would you want a pedal with a bass *snicker*" at my distortion, who complains when I add fills that he can't rhythm along with properly, and I think generally doesn't see me as having any worth, or influence in the band. He's a good enough guy, I really attribute it to his ignorance and the fact that ALL he listens to is death metal with drowned out bass. Oh, and when he told me that "for death metal you have to scoop out all your mids." But that fits in with my previous statement.

BTW thanks for TB for informing me that mids are what makes bass heard in metal, otherwise I'd probably be thumpin away unheard to this day.

Near harrisburg, PA. Once we get our act together and perform the whole scene is gunna change. All the local bands around here are pathetic screamo floorpunchers haha. For example:http://www.myspace.com/kyriepa

Yeah, look at one of Alex Webster's picture on his personal myspace or blotted science, i forget. Either way it has a great view of his SVT 4 eq. I'm still trying to get the right tone for this because I want to stand out a bit.

That's a very cool video, dude! Parts of it kinda sound like old Morbid Angel a bit. I like it!

My only suggestion, NecroButcher, is to grow out your hair!!

...if you want

I suck at trying to play death metal...black metal on the other hand! hahaha It's most of what I listen to, but I just kinda suck at trying to keep up. My best friend Sean is a killer death metal-obsessed German crackpot (just like myself!), but I can never keep up with him. Well...I actually haven't played with him for a while, so I don't know.

I hate working with two guitarists. Never keep them in one spot long enough to actually do anything A lot of my favorite bands (which I aspire to be like the most) have one guitarist...like Hate Eternal, Keep of Kalessin, Marduk, Decapitated, and Krisiun.

I love finding death metal threads on TalkBass....there are so few metalheads on here!!

Lol yeah my hair, I got it cut last summer because I got a once in a lifetime (maybe) oppurtunity to go to Beijing, China with some people in my school. Didnt wanna deal with the heat, im so glad i did. Its starting to grow back though haha.

Yes, that is me in the middle with a sousaphone on the GREAT WALL OF CHINA.

Anyways.
Yeah, I had a hard time keeping up at first but I got a lot more strength since I started this band. Also got decent at 3 finger 8ths.

Im gunna wait and see how 2 guitarists work out. He just joined last week learned out songs and can shred but I dont know how much hes gunna add to the band. Like each of us add a whole bunch of good ideas.. my favorite is the killer riff 1:11 into Obitchuary Fixation. 1:11-1:46 gives me a hardon everytime.

Gotta call it a night, its 1:21 AM and got school tomorrow haha im gunna be a zombie. See you guys tomorrow

That's pretty wacky, dude! I couldn't live without having my hair as long as it is. I'd definitely be really sad if someone cut it...and I'd be a much bigger douchebag than I am now, that's for sure.

Yeah...I can play fast (if the right person's putting a fire under my ass!) and in time, but not my friend's kinda fast. He plays with a distinctly different cadence and style than I do normally. Without a drummer to give me something to lock into, there isn't a whole lot I can add to his playing when it's just the two of us playing together.

In other words, I don't always feel like trying to keep up with him when he's going all Karl Sanders on me...

I've had that, too. Actually, in my dream, I thought I could put my hair back on...didn't work out like that and I woke up yelling at the wall.

We both love Cannibal Corpse, Nile, Morbid Angel, Hate, Krisiun, Hate Eternal, Carcass, Vader, and Behemoth kinda stuff...and we tend to come up with stuff that makes us think of that kinda music. Except we suck because. No thanks to the fact that we can't for the lives of us find a drummer who can do what we're looking for.

Furthermore, we collectively suck at concentrating hahaha

Well...sometimes...

Your guitarist tone is really quite brutal. Really full and hits your straight in the face.

Our singer had a seisure when he was showing my guitarists his new lyrics.. right before they were gunna drive to my house. Nik came with me from school so he was stuck there, we were pissed that we couldnt practice. Then I called my neighbor asked if he wanted to chill and we ended up just jamming out lmao. We made this whole set in like 3 hours, including the myspace.
